Love God Supremely
Jesus said in John 14:21, "he that has my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my father, and I will love him, and I will manifest myself to him."
Jesus is teaching that the more we love Him, the more we obey Him, and the more he manifests or makes himself known in our life. Years ago, Dr Charles Stanley said, "he who has learned to live in the conscious presence of the living God is unconquerable."
How then can we love Jesus more, obey Jesus more frequently, and consistently live in his conscious presence? It is possible by practicing the five spiritual disciplines, given below:
(1) Read the Bible daily. Read the entire Bible annually.
(2) Pray without ceasing.
(3) Daily confess your sin to the Lord and ask to be forgiven.
(4) Daily ask the holy Spirit to fill you, guide you, control you and anoint you.
(5) Daily ask that the love of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ will flow through you to others. Daily ask for divine appointments.
